The Unfinished Archive

Photographs
2006 – ongoing series

The Unfinished Archive is an on-going photographic project whose aim is to create an archive of deliberately unfinished images; this is because the subject is reality, a material that is impossible to catalogue definitively. The archive consists of photographs of small interventions in public space or in private environments, documentation of actions and performances, stills from videos and situations found in a kind of urban investigation that never ends. The photographs have therefore been taken in different places and times since 2006 and the number is constantly growing. Each image has its own thought, which is reinforced in the print dimension, and with interventions that are different each time, such as drawings or poems. Each photograph is in fact printed on different materials and with different techniques depending on the idea it wants to convey.
