2003

The project starts from a reflection on the gesture, spontaneously made by people in the first months of 2003, of hanging a peace flag outside the window to express their opinion about the war in Iraq. The idea is to start from that gesture and ask the people who live in the building that houses the exhibition space in its internal courtyard, what image they would put on a flag that should represent them.
Each image collected has become a real flag and has been hanged in the windows of the inhabitants of the building as a self-portrait, shifting the initial political act into a very intimate image of those people.
