The Mobile School of Visual Arts is an art project based on the idea of art as a form of knowledge production and active participation.
The first characteristic of the school is its mobility: it has no fixed location, as it is the artist (and therefore the school itself) who moves according to where the participants or the hosting institution are located.
The second characteristic of the school is its flexible temporal structure, which varies depending on the needs of the course participants.
The school functions as a fluid container for the acquisition of an artistic method.
Teaching is an integral part of Stefano Romano’s creative practice, hence the idea of integrating the pedagogical aspect within a broader framework of artistic production.
