The installation takes its name from a particular thermodynamic state that occurs at the sea surface level for which a balance is created between liquid and vapour. A magical moment of balance between two physical states that becomes a metaphor to indicate the journey, a change of life from one place to another, in search of a difficult moment of balance between two "states", what you were before and what that you would become.
The work aims to offer the viewer an aesthetic experience by taking them on an imaginary journey. The sails are made with semitransparent paper rolls that descend from the ceiling to the ground. The material would not be able to guarantee a physical journey, it is paper, but it allows an emotional journey, walking through it, the viewer also perceives the semi transparency of the material itself.
The sails are moved by fans which are positioned inside wooden cubes. The cubes amplify the sound of the fans recreating the idea of a ferry engine.
The whole installation is immersed in a light that changes over 10 hours, the time it takes the ferry to cross the Adriatic and join the two shores from Bari to Durrës. The light passes through 12 shades of blue from midnight blue to dawn, a metaphor for the ship's arrival on the other side of the sea.

L’installazione prende il nome da un particolare stato termo-dinamico che si verifica al livello della superficie del mare per cui si crea un equilibrio tra liquido e vapore. Un momento magico di equilibrio tra due stati fisici che diviene metafora per indicare il viaggio, un cambiamento di vita da un posto all’altro, alla ricerca, appunto di un difficile momento di equilibrio tra due “stati”, quello che eri prima e quello che saresti diventato.
Il lavoro vuole offrire allo spettatore l’esperienza estetica portandolo dentro un viaggio immaginario. Le vele sono realizzate con rotoli di carta semitrasparente che scendono dal soffitto fino a terra. Il materiale non riuscirebbe a garantire un viaggio fisico, è carta, ma permette un viaggio emotivo, camminandoci in mezzo, lo spettatore percepisce anche la semi trasparenza del materiale stesso. Le vele sono mosse da dei ventilatori che sono posizionato dentro dei cubi in legno. I cubi amplificano il suono dei ventilatori ricreando l’idea del motore di un traghetto.
Tutta l’installazione è immersa in una luce che cambia nell’arco di 10 ore, il tempo che impiega il traghetto ad attraversare l’Adriatico e unire le due sponde da Bari a Durrës. La luce attraversa 12 gradazioni di blu dal blu notte fino all’alba, metafora dell’arrivo della nave all’altra sponda del mare.
